P-9 : Um novo amigo.

Meu drive não tinha ficado bom. Fato !

Eu precisava de algo mais avançado, porem eu sempre soube que, para isso, eu iria esbarrar num problema : eu não sei programação o suficiente.

Foi então que uma pessoa, hoje meu amigo, me encontrou pelo grupo do Facebook, e propos construir um novo drive, em conjunto. Porem agora, um drive com design e funcionalidades parecidas com a versão BB-8 do tapete vermelho.

Eu topei a ideia !

Como ele mora no RJ, cada um iria fazer seu proprio drive , onde meu amigo ficaria encarregado por toda a programação.

O drive será controlado por um controle de xbox, onde no mesmo controle, eu tambem enviaria sinais para o dome, via uma conexão bluetooth master / slave, entre o drive e o dome.

Fizemos um prototipo de papelão, para testar os movimentos e os tamanhos das peças.

Depois fiz tudo em aluminio, porem resolvi mudar uma das peças, para ABS, por questões estéticas e pelo peso de toda a estrutura.

O drive funcionou !

Fiz testes usando a bola impressa e ficou excelente !

Mas como a bola ainda nao tinha as partes externas prontas e como o drive era forte e pesado, durante os testes, a bola foi danificada, portanto tive que colocar uma camada de fibra de vidro, por dentro, para fortalecer toda a estrutura.

Deixei a programação do dome e a parte dos imãs, para o final do projeto.

Para este drive, foram aproximadamente R$ 180,00.

Agora, eu precisava terminar de imprimir as partes externas do corpo.

A new friend.

My drive had not been good. Fact!

I needed something more advanced, but I always knew that for this, I would run into a problem: I do not know enough programming.

It was then that a person, today my friend, found me through the Facebook group, and proposed to build a new drive together. But now, a drive with design and features similar to the BB-8 version of the red carpet.

I got the idea!

As he lives in RJ, each one would make his own drive, where my friend would be in charge of all the programming.

The drive will be controlled by an xbox control, where in the same control, I would also send signals to the dome via a bluetooth master / slave connection between the drive and the dome.

We made a prototype of cardboard, to test the movements and sizes of the pieces.

Then I made everything in aluminum, but I decided to change one of the pieces, for ABS, for aesthetic reasons and for the weight of the whole structure.

The drive worked!

I tested using the printed ball and it was excellent!

But as the ball had not yet had the outer parts ready and the drive was heavy during testing the ball was damaged so I had to put a layer of fiberglass inside to strengthen the whole structure.

I left the programming of the dome and the part of the magnets, towards the end of the project.

For this drive, it was R$ 180,00.

Now, I needed to finish printing the external parts of the body.
