P-3 : Tentando fazer os primeiros paineis externos...

Bola pronta ! Gostei do resultado.

Agora era partir e fazer os primeiros painéis externos, conforme o design oficial do BB.

De todas as técnicas pesquisadas, a mais barata e fácil, era usar placas de plástico, de 1,0mm de espessura, que pudessem ser moldadas ao redor da bola.

Tal técnica é conhecida como "vaccum form" , que consiste em aquecer a chapa plástica e então, prensar na bola, para que a placa tome a forma curva. Então, cortar os paineis e triangulos, nas medidas corretas.

Comprei MDF, parafusos e porcas borboletas, 2 chapas de 2x2m de plástico de 1mm, no total, foram gastos aqui aproximadamente R$ 140,00.

Como eu não tinha uma máquina própria para o aquecimento das chapas, usei um forno elétrico normal, porem construí um baú de MDF ao redor do mesmo.

Pra segurar as chapas, eu construí uma estrutura de MDF, uma espécie de moldura, fixadas com parafusos e porcas borboletas.

Depois de várias tentativas, foi frustrante...o aquecimento não era suficiente e a estrutura de MDF não era grande o bastante, então o resultado final não foi, nem de longe, o esperado...

Descartei toda a técnica...

Trying to make the first outer panels ...

Ball ready! I liked the result.

Now it was time to go and make the first external panels, according to the official BB design.

Of all the researched techniques, the cheapest and easiest was to use plastic plates,

with 1.0mm thick, that could be molded around the ball.

This technique is known as "vaccum form", which consists of heating the plastic sheet and then pressing on the ball, so that the plate takes the curved shape. Then cut the panels and triangles in the correct measurements.

I bought MDF, screws and butterflies nuts, 2 2x2m plastic sheets of 1mm, in total, were spent here approximately R $ 140.00.

Since I did not have my own machine to heat the plates, I used a normal electric oven, but I built an MDF chest around it.

To hold the plates, I built an MDF structure, a kind of frame, fixed with screws and butterflies nuts.

After several attempts, it was frustrating ... the heating was not enough and the MDF structure was not big enough, so the end result was by no means the expected ...

I discarded all the technique ...
