P-15 : Seguindo com o projeto...

3 meses depois, já em março de 2019....quase todo o drive já está impresso e agora, posso começar a montar as partes mecânicas, motores, engrenagens e fazer os primeiros testes.

Durante as semanas de impressões 3D, aproveitei também para começar a montagem do novo body do BB, agora com frames de alumínio, cortados na CNC de um amigo. O projeto dos frames foi feito por outro integrante do grupo, o Áskenas.

Como na versão anterior, eu usei os triângulos, impressos em ABS e os mesmos ficaram muito bons após o acabamento e pintura, resolvi utiliza-los nessa nova versão. Apenas o EVA que deverá ser substituído por painéis e rings impressos em 3D, pois na versão em alumínio, o EVA não iria servir mais, apesar de terem ficados bons.

Comecei também a montar toda a eletrônica do novo controle remoto do BB-8, que ao contrário das minhas versões anteriores, que usavam um controle de xbox360, irá usar rádio-frequência, através de módulos de comunicação da Adafruit (feathers).

P-15: Following the project ...

3 months later, as early as March 2019 .... almost the entire drive is already printed and now I can start assembling the mechanical parts, motors, gears and doing the first tests.

During the weeks of 3D printing, I also took the opportunity to begin the assembly of BB's new body, now with aluminum frames, cut at a friend's CNC. The design of the frames was done by another member of the group, Áskenas.

As in the previous version, I used the triangles, printed in ABS and they were very good after finishing and painting, I decided to use them in this new version. Only the EVA that should be replaced by 3D printed panels and rings, because in the aluminum version, the EVA would not be useful anymore, although they were good.

I also started assembling all the electronics on the new BB-8 remote control, which unlike my previous versions, which used an xbox360 control, will use radio through Adafruit communication modules (feathers).
