P-10 : A parte mais temida ainda estava por vir...

Agora que eu já tinha um drive totalmente funcional, uma bola impressa e toda a programação pronta, era hora de imprimir os paineis externos.

A parte dos triangulos foi bem fácil de fazer, apesar de eu ter perdido algumas peças e dezenas de horas de impressão.

Com o auxilo de uma lixadeira orbital, consegui um acabamento fantástico e os triangulos ficaram quase perfeitos.

Alem de lixar, utilizei prime e poliester antes da tinta branca do acabamento.

Infelizmente os paineis circulares não estavam bons.

Tive muitos problemas com warp, com a qualidade dos detalhes e desenhos das peças.

Mesmo tentando arrumar os detalhes, usando poliester, lixas, etc, o resultado nao estava bom.

Gastei vários rolos de ABS e semanas de trabalho.

Mas eu não podia descartas os triangulos pois estavam perfeitos.

Alem do preço da impressora, algo em torno de R$ 2200,00, gastei aproximadamente uns R$ 700,00 em ABS, desde o início do projeto.

The most feared part was yet to come ...

Now that I already had a fully functional drive, a printed ball and all the programming ready, it was time to print the outer panels.

Part of the triangles were pretty easy to make, though I lost a few pieces and dozens of hours of printing.

With the help of an orbital sander, I got a fantastic finish and the triangles were almost perfect.

In addition to sanding, I used prime and polyester before the white paint finish.

Unfortunately the circular panels were not good.

I had many problems with warp, with the quality of the details and drawings of the pieces.

Even trying to fix the details, using polyester, sandpaper, etc, the result was not good.

I spent several rolls of ABS and weeks of work.

But I could not discard the triangles because they were perfect.

In addition to the price of the printer, something around R $ 2200,00, I spent approximately R $ 700.00 in ABS for the whole project.
